The SCF warmly congratulates FM Siddharth Jagadeesh on attaining an IM norm at the First Saturday GM Tournament, October edition in Budapest, Hungary, which concluded on 12 Oct 2021.

This is Siddharth's second IM norm. He beat two Grandmasters (GMs Misa Pap and Lajos Seres) and held a 30-move draw with eventual winner GM David Berczes, to clinch the norm with 5.5/9 and a TPR of 2485. His 18.5 Elo point gain also brings him up to 2351, and 6th in the Singapore chess rating list. This is Siddharth's fourth consecutive tournament, and he will be playing his fifth and final tournament in Copenhagen to round out a 2 month long chess expedition.

Siddharth will be covering some of his best games, and his recent experience playing norm events, in the inaugural edition of the Singapore Chess Magazine, coming early next year.
