For participants staying in the official hotel, the Bencoolen Hotel, our transport (bus) will ferry them to the playing venue for the Technical Meeting and the morning rounds.
After the morning rounds, participants may rest in a number of facilities around Bishan such as the Bishan Community Club, Singapore Chess Federation and the National Library (Bishan). Food outlets (including MacDonald, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut and Delifrance) and hundreds of shops selling almost everything is within walking distance from the new Playing Hall. Most of these retail outlets are housed in a popular shopping mall called Junction 8.
We sincerely apologize and regret the inconveniences caused as a result of the change in the venue to take in a bigger crowd..
We enclosed below photographs of these landmarks and a map of the playing venue.
