NAG 2010 – START LISTS, PAIRINGS & RESULTS

Important Announcement – Open Category

Please note a change in the tournament regulations for the 28th NAG Open Under 20.
The Top 2 boys and the Top 2 girls in the Open Category will qualify for the National
Youth Gold Squad.

 The 2010 National Age Group Chess Championships will be jointly organized by the Federation and Northland Primary School from 29 December 2009 to 2 January 2010. The tournament will take a break on 1 January 2010 for the New Year. Northland Primary School Hall shall be the venue for the 8 rounds Swiss System mode of play with 2 hours for each player.

There will be 9 categories, comprising Open; Open & Girls’ Under 8, Under 10, Under 12 and Under 14.   (age as on 1 January 2010). Prizes shall also be awarded for girls in the Open Category.  

Play-offs, in the event of tie for Championship title or Youth Squad qualification (if any) shall take place on 3 January 2010 at the SCF premises in Bishan – Singapore Intellectual Games Centre (Bishan CC). Play-off shall commence at 1.00 pm onwards.

Due to space constraint, only the first 450 entries shall be accepted. Closing date for entries shall be 22 December 2009 at 7.00 pm or earlier if there are 450 entries received.

In line with our Selection Guidelines 2010, eligible players may apply to join our National Junior Development Squad training scheme for 2010. The Top 4 players in Open Category will qualify for the National Youth Squad. The Champion (only) of the Open Category will also qualify for the National Men Championships 2010.

Participant may also register online and arrange for inter-bank transfer to our account in DBS Bank indicating name of participant and event. Our DBS account is (Singapore Chess Federation, Current Account No.: 001 – 043184 – 6). You may also register online and send payment by cheque via post mail.
