The 4th Asian Dragons Invitational Chess Tournament 2010 is now-ongoing in Taipei, Taiwan. Scheduled for 20th to 28th August, the annual event for the region's top developmental players is an invitational event organized by the Chinese Taipei Chess Association.

Section(Page E6, 14 Aug 2010) dealing with the visits of GMs Karpov and Kasparov, which we understand was initiated by CES (Chess is for Everyone) group. The SCF's preference is to focus on all aspects of local chess development and not to wade into issues of local and international chess politics,as well as having such issues played out in the press.

These include the coming FIDE (World Chess Federation) elections as well as the SCF's relationship with the movement known as Chess is for Everybody in Singapore (CES). The 4th in the annual series, the Nee Soon East Chess Challenge 2010 for the Ho Peng Kee Cup shall be held on Sunday 29th August 2010 at the Community Club's Hall. The Challenge Cup is named in honour of the Member of Parliament for Nee Soon East Single Member Constituency, Associate Professor Ho Peng Kee.
