1. Organisers: The Tournament is organised by the Singapore Chess Federation, Zenitant Pte Ltd, United Square Shopping Mall, and played under the FIDE Laws of Chess, and the following rules. FIDE Non-Rated Event.
2. Eligibility & Format:
(A) RAPID EVENT
Swiss System, 7 Rounds, 25 minutes per player, without increment.
Open Category – Pre-Schoolers, U-7, U-8, U-9, U-10,U-11, U12, U13, U-16, & OPEN
(B) BLITZ EVENT
Open Category – Swiss System, 11 Rounds, 5 minutes per player, without increment.
3. Prizes:
(A) RAPID EVENT
Champion Trophy for Top Performing School
Champion Trophy for Top Chess Newcomer School
Cash prizes for OPEN category:
1st - $150 ; 2nd - $125 ; 3rd - $100 ; 4th - $75 ; 5th - $50.
Prizes for Top 25% of each category.
(B) BLITZ EVENT
Cash prizes for Blitz Category - 1st - $100 ; 2nd - $75 ; 3rd - $50 ; 4th - $40 ; 5th - $30
4. Venue: United Square Shopping Mall, 101 Thomson Road, Singapore 307591
5. Attire:
Participants for Rapid are to be dressed in their School Uniform or P.E attire.
Participants for Blitz are to be dressed in Smart Casual with covered shows.

7. Entry Fee:
Rapid - $35 ;
Blitz - $30 ;
Rapid & Blitz - $50
2 Rapid - $65 ;
2 Rapid + Blitz - $80
By Cash or Cheque (to be made payable to Singapore Chess Federation).
Students who are on MOE Financial Assistance Scheme can approach SCF for fee waiver.
8. Closing Date:
Friday, 12 December 2014 by 6 pm, or first 400 entries.
Late fee of $100 shall apply, subject to SCF approval.
Entries without payment will not be accepted. Entry Fees are non-refundable.
9. In the event of any disputes (outside the FIDE Laws of Chess), the Organisers decision shall be final and no further correspondence shall be entertained.
10. FIDE ZERO START rule shall apply. Please check correctness of your entry on www.singaporechess.org.sg as we may not make changes on the day of the tournament. Please visit website regularly for updates.
