Organiser: Teck Ghee Community Club Women's Executive Committee The event is managed by Chess Academy (Singapore) Pte Ltd and played under FIDE Laws of Chess and the following rules and regulations. This is an INDIViDUAL EVENT and it is also part of the SCF (Singapore Chess Federation) Grand Prix 2014. This is a FIDE Rapidplay rated event and open to all. This is a individual event but participants with family members playing will in addition, qualify for Family Prizes.

Eligibility: Open to all.
There shall be three categories,
(a) Open Category – FIDE Rapid play rated and Open to All (All foreign participants must have FIDE ID Number)
(b) Challengers (unrated players)
(c) Under-10 Category – not eligible for Grand Prix Points. Age shall be as on 1 January 2014.
Mode of Competition: 7 Rounds Swiss using Swiss Manager with 25 minutes for each player to complete the game.
Entry Fee: Shall be $ 20.00 per participant (Passion Card Members & students of event manager) and $ 23.00 (Non Passion Card Members)
Prizes: Trophies shall be presented to the top 10 Individual winners (Male) and top 5 winners (Female) in each of the three categories. Cash Prizes for the Open Category only, shall be – Champion: $200.00; 1st Runner-Up: $150.00; 2nd Runner-Up: $100.00; 4th – 5th: $50.00 each. Merit Prizes shall be awarded for Under 12 participants in the Challengers Section and Under 8 and Pre-school players for the Under 10 category.
Family Prizes: Although this is an INDIVIDUAL EVENT, 5 Trophies each shall be awarded to the best Family Teams (Duos (2 members) and Trios (3 members)). The total score of each member in the family shall be added up to determine the best family teams. Eligibility for Family Team Members shall be parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, uncles and aunties. Cash Prizes shall also be awarded for family teams (Duos & Trios).
Closing Date: Tuesday 20 May 2014 at 7.00 pm or the first 250 entries. Late entries and entries without payment will not be accepted. Entry Fee paid is non-refundable.
In the event of any disputes (outside the Laws of Chess), the organizer's decision shall be final and no further correspondences shall be entertained. All participants agree not to hold the organizers responsible for any mishaps or injuries incurred arising from their participation in this event.
